Defensive Specialties, LLC is a husband-wife team located in Gainesville, GA (near the southern end of Lake Lanier).
Our full-time occupation is teaching NRA & Private/Non-NRA Safety & Firearms classes, State of GA Security Guard "Blue Card" classes & Emergency Preparation classes and conducting Security Consultations & Security Training with Families, Businesses, Churches & Schools.
Gunmithing, Gun Cleaning & FFL Services are available.

We keep our classes small so that every student gets individual attention & assistance.
COVID STATEMENT: We have always preferred to keep our classes small. In this day & age of covid, while we do not require them, we are perfectly fine if you want to wear gloves or a mask. You won't hurt anyone's feelings!
Keep in mind that our dedicated classroom is in our home. If you wake up not feeling well, please stay home & get well! We can always reschedule your appointment/class.
We Believe:
Everyone should at least know how to use a firearm safely & should have fun learning to use it. Only then can you make a knowledgeable decision on whether a firearm is right for you in your plans for fun, college scholarships or self-defense.
Every person & family should be prepared for the unexpected. We should be able to feed, shelter & take care of ourselves without having to rely on others. This means having plans in place for natural emergencies, unexpected family emergencies or civil unrest.
